Saladaeng Colonnade draws on colonial architecture and evokes an age of gracious living hard to find in today’s frenetic world. It beckons to a world long before hotels, apartments and service flats entered into the lexicon of travel in Thailand.
As Bangkok developed over the years,
Saladaeng Colonnade found itself in the heart of the Central Business District. The serviced apartments are within a five minute walk from Bangkok’s mass transit systems. The BTS Saladaeng Station is at the end of Saladaeng Road on Silom Road, and so is the Saladaeng Sky Train station.
Also within a 5 minute walk on the other side of Silom Road is the infamous Patpong. Patpong is a private road purchased by Mr Patpongpanich in the late 40’s on what was considered to be the outskirts of town. By the 60’s airlines offices and many perfectly respectable institutions were doing business on Patpong Road. Whilst famous in the 70’s and 80’s for its strip joints and extremely dexterous ladies, today Patpong is host to a thriving night-market and family dining area.
